Coded Concept Mapping
Outcome has created a data-driven coded concept mapping service that makes it easy to manage conversions and standardization of the many codesets used within healthcare. Our APIs and services manage codeset standardization between HL7, CDA and FHIR standards, using both standard and custom code sets. For example, out of the box, we expect to convert gender codes in HL7 V2 from ValueSet: hl7VS-administrativeSex to HL7 FHIR AdministrativeGender.
Support exists for any code system, including ICD 9/10, SNOMED, LOINC, CPT, CVX, RX Norm and more.
For custom codesets, we have a mapping process which allows us to quickly and easily input codesets and mapping translations. A sample look:
Code lists are extensible and translations can be defined system-wide or as source system specific.
Deeply Integrated to Data Quality
As unexpected coded concepts exist as your data is processed, our ingestion routines log the issues and provide traceability to the messages. Learn more on our Data Quality page.
